The Turkish language is an Altaic language spoken as a native language by more than 75 million people. It is spoken primarily in Turkey and parts of Central Asia. Turkish belongs to the Oghuz subgroup of Turkic languages and has a rich history dating back to the 8th century. The language is characterized by a phonetic spelling, in which words are spelled the way they are pronounced. Turkish also has numerous loanwords from Arabic, Persian, and French due to historical influences on the language. Overall, Turkish is a fascinating language with a rich cultural and linguistic tradition.
